Always think of the possibility that your situation might change one day and prepare yourself for it.

SET REALISTIC GOALS

Focus on the step in front of you, not the whole staircase. Remember that small steps are also progress. Especially when facing changes, break down the larger picture into manageable goals. Achievable milestones help you maintain focus and reinforce your ability to handle the changes life throws at you. A big change initially feels overwhelming and makes you freeze – that’s okay. You don’t have to react immediately. Take your time – step by step, day by day.

STAY CONNECTED

In times of change, the support of our friends, family, and mentors is invaluable. In dark times, they are our guiding lights in the sky. Try to strengthen your connections with your social network. Sharing experiences and seeking advice can provide fresh perspectives and emotional support during times of uncertainty. In fact, showing yourself to be vulnerableis the strongest act anyway. People will do everything to help you. It’s the essence of our humanity.

MINDSET

That being said, embrace change with a conscious mindset and remember those four tips. You will transform big shifts in your life towards an even better future. Always keep in mind: You don’t have to be perfect, having a bad day is okay, small steps are also progress, asking for help is strength and people will always love and appreciate you, no matter what!
